Planet of Sound is a full-featured, world class recording facility located in Downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Utilizing the latest in digital recording technology, POS is famous for hosting your favorite national recording artists and founder Myles Mangino has gained vast notoriety as one of the best producer/engineers in the business!

Located on Allyn Street in Hartford, the 150 year old building that houses the the Planet of Sound was once a headquarters for car dealerships in the 1930's. Sixty-eight years later, Mangino found a better use for the space, as construction began in July 1998 on his Planet of Sound recording studio. Utilizing the historic natural brick of the building's walls, Mangino succeeded in creating a unique sound diffusion quality to the space. After months of building walls, laying carpet, painting and installing equipment, Mangino hosted a Grand Opening Gala on Halloween Night, 1998.

Since then, P.O.S. has hosted a myriad of national and regional recording artists, become the location of all live music broadcasts for local rock radio station 106.9 WCCC, and gained national acclaim as one of the best-sounding studios around.

Now, with the recent addition of a state-of-the-art production room known as "Studio B" located on the second floor, Planet of Sound is even better equipped to serve all your recording, editing and mastering needs.

Looking to make a great sounding record? Look no further than Hartford's own Planet of Sound!
